Privacy Policy
Elevate Golf · Effective June 8, 2026
Elevate Golf ("Elevate," "we," "us") provides a mobile application that helps junior golfers, their parents, and coaches manage training, recruiting, scheduling, and lessons. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have designed Elevate with the privacy and safety of young athletes as a first principle.
Short version: We collect only what the app needs to work. We never sell personal information. We never use children's data for advertising. Parents oversee a child's account, and adults cannot privately message minors on the platform.
1. Who uses Elevate
Elevate supports four roles: junior golfers, parents, coaches, and mentors. Accounts for golfers under the age of 13 are created and managed through a parent account, as described in the Children's Privacy section below.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, role, and password (passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
- Player profile: graduating year, city/state, home club, scoring data, goals, rankings, target schools, and similar golf information that you choose to enter.
- Round and performance data: scores and statistics you log.
- Photos and media: profile photos and any swing videos or images you upload.
- Coaching and scheduling: bookings, lessons, and messages exchanged within the app.
- Payment information: when you pay for a lesson, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain a record of the transaction (amount, date, and a Stripe reference).
- Technical information: basic device and log information needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use information
- To provide the app's features — training tracking, recruiting tools, scheduling, messaging, and lesson payments.
- To connect families with coaches and to process lesson bookings and payouts.
- To keep accounts secure and to enforce our Terms of Service and safety rules.
- To respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
We do not use personal information to serve third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA)
Elevate is intended to be used by families together. We treat the personal information of golfers under 13 with heightened care and in accordance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- An account for a golfer under 13 is created by a parent or guardian, who provides verifiable consent and manages the account.
- We collect from a child only the information reasonably necessary to participate in the app's golf features.
- A parent may review their child's information, request that we delete it, and refuse further collection at any time by contacting us at the email below.
- Adults cannot send private messages to a minor on Elevate. A parent is included on coaching conversations, and parents approve lesson bookings.
- We do not condition a child's participation on disclosing more information than is reasonably necessary.
5. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Between linked accounts: a parent can see their linked child's information; a coach sees information for students who book with them.
- Service providers: we use Supabase (database, authentication, and storage) and Stripe (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.
- Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of a user, particularly a minor.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share children's information for advertising.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep personal information for as long as an account is active. You may delete your account and associated personal information from within the app, or by contacting us. Parents may request deletion of a child's information at any time. Some records (such as payment records) may be retained as required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access and update most information directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated within the app.
